LAMAR HIGH SCHOOLS RANKED IN
US NEWS AND WORLD REPORT

Lamar High School received a “Bronze” rating in the third annual U.S. News & World Report ranking of "America's Best High Schools." This is the first time Lamar High School has been in the rankings. The list was posted on the magazine's Web site on Friday, December 4, and will appear on newsstands later this month.

Since Lamar High does not offer AP courses or an IB program, they were not eligible for the Top 100 List, but they successfully meet the other two key performance indicator criteria.

Construction on the new Lamar High School track has begun.  The track is expected to be finished sometime during the winter.  The boys' and girls' track teams are hoping to be able to host meets during the spring.
