Lamar High School Gives Scholarships and Awards to the Class of 2013 on Class Night
Lamar High School celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2013 during the annual Class Night program. Scholarships included the E. W. Davis Memorial Scholarship, the Lamar Civitans Scholarship, the Nucor Scholarship, the Delta Sigma Theta Scholarship, and other prestigious scholarships. Seniors were also awarded their Beta Club Stoles. The honor graduates were awarded their cords. Major Atwood also presented several seniors "Celebrate a Hero" red cords in honor of their giving of three pints of blood during their senior year. K. Scipio was awarded the Senior Science Award, the Senior Social Studies Award, and the Senior English Award. M. Poole was awarded the Senior Mathematics Award, and he also received the Spirit of the Fox Award. See the gallery of pictures from this event by clicking here.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE
2012-2013 LHS TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Lamar High School’s Teacher of the Year for the 2012-2013 school year is Mrs. Jennifer King. As the school’s Teacher of the Year, Mrs. King will serve on the Darlington County School District Teacher Forum. Mrs. King teaches Anatomy and Biology at LHS. Congratulations on your accomplishment!
