Virtual Learning
Dear Silver Fox Family:

In a message sent out yesterday, our Board of Education and superintendent (Dr. Tim Newman) made the decision to shift all Darlington County School District students to virtual education for the three weeks following Christmas break, January 4 through January 22, 2021.  As a result of all DCSD schools and buildings being closed, there will be no athletic or extracurricular activities during that time, including practices, conditioning, or matches.

During virtual learning, students will no longer follow an A/B Day schedule but should log into every class through Schoology Monday - Friday. Students will follow their regular schedule each day Monday through Thursday, and Friday will continue to be an opportunity to complete assignments missed throughout the week.

End-of-Course testing that was previously scheduled will be rescheduled. Please monitor your email for updated testing information.

We will to return to in-person classes for our face-to-face students on Monday, January 25, 2021. To make that happen, we need you to please be safe and take all the precautions: Observe social distancing, avoid crowds, wear a mask, and wash your hands frequently. As the school board and superintendent continue to monitor COVID-19 data and make decisions, I will send out updated information.  Please continue to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, PeachJar, and our school website.

If you have any questions regarding virtual learning for the next two weeks, please contact Chenethia Brown (chenethia.brown@darlington.k12.sc.us), Susan Lear (susan.lear@darlington.k12.sc.us) or Marlon Thomas (marlon.thomas@darlington.k12.sc.us).

Thank you and have a great day,

Dr. Marlon Thomas
