DARLINGTON, S.C. – Registration for new and returning students for the 2024-25 school year will open Monday, May 6, according to the Darlington County School District (DCSD). Registration must be completed by June 28, 2024, to guarantee bus transportation during the first two weeks of school.

This year, DCSD is switching to a new registration system called Final Forms, which will streamline the process and provide easier records management. The Final Forms registration system is an email-based system that allows parents to register students and upload the required proof of residency and other documents, such as updated records, sports physicals, and certain legal documents. 

Under the Final Form registration system, parents of returning DCSD students will receive an email on Monday, May 6, with their login credentials and a registration link. These login credentials are necessary to register a student. The email will come from "Final Forms Mailman." Parents can log in and register their children using the email link in the newsletter. Returning students can also register through the ParentPortal.

Parents who need assistance with registration or obtaining login credentials should call the Technology Help Desk at 843-398-6200, Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., during the online registration window.

Students who have applied to attend any DCSD magnet program or a different school through the district's Expanded School Choice program must register first with their home school during the online registration period.

FOR NEW STUDENTS: Including 4K and 5K students not previously registered, will register by clicking here or the School Registration icon on the front page of the district's website. From there, new parents will need to create an account and complete the online registration process. Parents and guardians of new students should be prepared to upload a .pdf or .jpg file of the materials listed below. Parents who are unable to upload the documents should contact their home school.

Items Needed for NEW Student Registration:

• Proof of residency - A tax notice, a landline telephone bill, a bill for cable service connected to the residence, or a utility bill such as water, gas, and electricity will be accepted. A cell phone bill and/or a driver's license cannot be used to prove residency.
• Immunization Record (this includes 7th-grade TDAP)
• Birth Certificate
• (For 4K Only) Proof of income/S.C. Healthy Connection Medicaid Card

To register a child for 4K, the child must be four years old on or before Sept. 1, 2024. A child must turn five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2024, to register for 5K. A registration slot for 4K will only be reserved for a child with documented proof of residence and proof of income. Available spaces are limited, and preference is given to those students whose family meets state income requirements.

It is recommended that parents use a desktop or laptop computer or a tablet to complete the online registration process for ease of navigation.
