Graduation Requirements

To qualify for a state high school diploma in the Darlington County School District, a student must meet the following requirements:

 

 

 

9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th Graders

English/Language Arts

4 units

U.S. History

1 unit

Economics (1/2 unit)

 

Government (1/2 unit)

1 unit

Other Social Studies

1 unit

Mathematics

4 units

Natural Science

3 units

Physical Education/JROTC

1 unit

Electives

Foreign Language/Tech Prep Elective

 (Students entering as Freshmen beginning with the 2006-2007 school year must earn a physical science credit to graduate.)

 

GRADUATION POLICY

1.      All requirements must be met in order for a student to receive a diploma.

2.     A Darlington County School District certificate of completion is an exit option, for students with disabilities who, in the opinion of the IEP committee, have successfully completed their individualized program.
